Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Hope everyone is either enjoying time with their loved ones, celebrating the day by watching some Texas football, or both! Either way, it's truly a great day in America to be thankful for. This will be a pretty short blog post (another lengthier one is coming up soon!), but I wanted to talk about Thanksgiving a little bit. I've started doing this a few years ago thanks to a friend of mine. During the day, I usually send short messages to people about what I'm thankful for. Most of it really resides on how I've gotten to know people throughout the years, but also how much they've influenced my life. It's always good to reflect on who you are now, what you were last year, and see the kind of triggers and ideas that have shaped you into the person you are today. Some people may hardly change if they're resilient to new ideas, or if they've just had little contact with people. Others may do a complete 180 and become a radically different person. Either way, I've always found it interesting to compare who I am today to who I was in the past. It certainly has been a transformation; one that couldn't have been done without a supporting and loving family, and friends who will be with me for the rest of my life. Thank you, everybody!Take today and celebrate it with those you love. Of course, eat as much as you can and then immediately regret eating too much, as you watch your TV. I feel like that's a given. :) However, at the end of the day, take some time to think about those who have given you any kind of strong influence in your life, and let them know you're thankful for what they've done. I'm sure they feel the same for you.Today's blog music comes from a remix of tunes from the game made popular in the late 90s, Final Fantasy VII. The song is titled "The Golden Ivories of Gaia," made by Bladiator from OC Remix. This piece is a piano arrangement of all the different themes found in the game, transitioning beautifully between each theme. Even if you've never played the game, take a listen![audio mp3="http://coreyjustinroberts.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/4-10-The-Golden-Ivories-of-Gaia-Various-Themes.mp3"][/audio] Until next time,Corey
