Hi! I'm Corey.

I'm a software engineer looking to change the world.

I'm a staff software engineer at H-E-B, a Texas-based grocery company. I’m working with some of the best engineers in Texas to build out the most intuitive and seamless grocery shopping experience on iOS.

A BIT ABOUT ME

Music, code, and family are integral parts of my life.

I’ve played piano since I was four, and drums all throughout grade school and college. I’ve made a few compositions that have been played by my alma mater, the University of Texas at Austin. Some of my favorite memories and my closest friends all stemmed through Longhorn Band.

Friend Christmas, 2016

I’ve been doing software engineering ever since I started my journey at UT. After being inspired by the things that my dad did in the workforce, as well as my inherent curiosity at how computers worked at an early age, it’s been something I’ve always wanted to get my hands dirty with. It’s been a blast, and I’m here to make the world a better place with every line that I write.

My family is what makes me who I am, and I wouldn’t be here without them. They’ve raised, guided, and nurtured me into the person that I am today, and I owe them everything in the world for getting me this far. My mom says that I am the dream that she yearned to have as a kid, and it’s my destiny to make sure I live that dream to its fullest to make her proud.

After the 2010 BCS National Championship game, Jay Leno did a small segment on tweets that occurred during the game. Of those people, me and another guy from the snareline just so happened to be the ones screen-capped in his segment. Needless to say, it was pretty awesome.

Some people say I’m famous. I say I just find unplanned opportunities to make it on the big screen.

In my spare time, I enjoy streaming videogames and reading fantasy novels. I'm also a fan of learning how to cook new dishes, finding the best latte in town, and discovering new bottles of Japanese whisky to make that perfect Old Fashioned.
